<b><span style="font-size: large;">BLURB</span>:</b><br />
<br />
<b>For some, existence without their mate might seem like the end of their world...for the members of Verdantia’s Tetriarch, it would be.</b><br>
Conte Camliel Aristos deTano, Ari, has long spurned the marriage forced upon him. His contractual bride, Princess Fleur Constante, the beautiful future queen though young and inexperienced, is willing to risk everything, including her own sanity, to save her planet. <br />
The inhabitants of the sentient planet, Verdantia, are poised on the precipice of extinction following a brutal invasion by an off-world, nomadic horde. Verdantia’s capital, Sylvan Mintoth, must have its failing energy shield restored, or the planet is doomed. The Elders know the shield can draw energy from only one thing-a very arduous and grueling coupling of two specific people who were pre-chosen by the planet Herself and promised by prearranged marriage contract. <br />
Verdantia draws strength from the duo, but the sentient planet whispers to Ari that a third is necessary ~ Ari’s aide de camp, Visconte Doral deLorion, an angelically handsome, skilled assassin who silently surrendered his heart to Ari long ago.<br />
The trio struggles to make this surprising partnership harmonious, pushing through pride, scars of past abuse, fears of inexperience and distrust. To save Verdantia, they must overcome their individual weaknesses and realize their full potential. Only the tetriarch and their combined synergy, can harness Verdantia’s immense power to shield its citizens from invasion.<br />

<b>5-STARS - "Marvelous Surprise!!" by Kim</b><br />
I loved this book! I wasn't expecting to like it, much less love it, what a pleasant surprise. It took me a chapter or two to get into the story and get straight the "otherworldliness" of the story but once I got past that I was completely hooked. The characters were so well written, so complete, that I didn't experience that feeling of "hmmmm...now how did that come to be" because all of the lead characters as well as the backing characters were so full. I really can't say enough good things about this book, what a marvelous surprise!
<br />
<br />
<b>5-STARS - "Excellent Read" by Lynelle</b><br />
An excellent read, good plot and well written book. Filled with enough passion to scorch the sheets and the heart racing. Erotica filled moments but yet filled with tenderness from both men, Ari and Doral. This story will keep you at the edge, turning pages rapidly to see the end. The thought that three people can come together to save a planet, and its people sounded ridiculous, but I think the author created a wonderful story within the plot. Fleur, the young princess controlling but yet loving the two men with equal fascination. Creating a wonderful love story at the end. Each character well defined and believable through out.
Three people coming together because of their genetics, falling in love and you see how they protect each other, willing to die for each other. The honesty of each as they relay their hearts to one another believable and beautiful. Especially Darol's character captured my attention. His abusive past, his believe of worthlessness so that he avoided being close to the ones he love, touched me.
The supporting characters help to build the plot as each scene unfolds, keeping it exciting and entertaining.
Can't wait for book two.

<b>5-STARS - "Fast-Paced Erotic Journey" by Elizabeth S.</b><br />
I read this book very quickly, as the pacing is wonderful. It's a fun ride with three main characters, all of whom are strong and have a clear cut purpose. At first, I thought it was about saving a planet, Verdantia. But, it becomes much more. It is as much the characters' journeys as the story of protecting a race and culture.<br>
The author did not use miscommunication as the tension between the characters. (Thank you!) Rather, the characters upped the ante for each other through love, understanding and lots of sex and lovemaking. It is erotica, after all!<br>
The female lead is refreshingly strong - from the beginning. And, the twists and turns they must take are interesting and fun. Highly recommended book!

<b>5-STARS - "I Want More!" by Yelle Hughes</b><br />
I really enjoyed Patricia Knight's new SciFi Verdantian series. I hope I don't give out too many spoilers. There were some similarities to me that reminded me of the Bene Gesserit breeding program and the Arrakean spice from Dune, but that's were the similarities end.<br>
Patricia has created an entire new world, with fresh characters and a mix between medieval weapons to magical conjuring. While I really liked the two main characters, Ari and Fleur...I loved Ari's right hand man and deadly assassin, Doral. He was mysterious, dangerous and oh, so delicious to read.<br>
The world of Verdantia is ruled by sex and sex is needed to provide it's people protection from it's enemies. The erotic scenes were shall I just say...HOT!<br>
For those with hangups on m/f/m or m/m...read it, you just might like it. The next novel in the series 'Hers to Choose' is now available and I'm definitely going to read that one. Doral's sister is the heroine and if she's written anything like him...I just don't have the words.

<b>5-STARS - "What a wild ride!" by pking</b><br />
This book was so much fun~ and such a wild ride, can I go again? I must admit I was a little lost in the beginning, but I soon caught up and let me tell you, I did not want to put it down. Right away you know that this planet is singular in many ways, and that the inhabitants are not conventional in there manner of creating and maintaining energy. I like that the author gave you this to start with, but I think it was lost on me until the real story began, and I could put it into context. I have to say I love fantasy, and although I don't read erotica often, I found it to be such a fun way to elevate the fantastical-ness of this space adventure. The characters are loveable, and the conflict feels personal, that is what I want from a good romance story, and that is what I got. If you love fantasy, adventure, and romance you will enjoy this book...(the steamy erotic scenes help a lot too)

<b><span style="font-size: large;">O'LEARY'S REVIEW ON GOODREADS:</span></b><br />
<br />
<b>4-Stars</b><br />
I thoroughly enjoyed <i>Hers to Command</i> by Patricia A. Knight. This story is a great scifi erotic/romantic read with believable characters, smoothly written prose, and wonderfully inventive details. I didn't absolutely love the characters and their interactions, which is the only reason this book gets a 4 instead of a 5-Star rating from me.
<i>Hers to Command</i> has been on my TBR shelf for a while and I can't believe it took me this long to read it. If you've been thinking about getting this book, stop thinking and start reading! I recommend this to all scifi/erotica/romance lovers who also enjoy menage, M/M, and minor BDSM elements. <br />

Kidnapped into service on the Hellsbreath, Victoria is caught between two very different men locked in their own private and erotic power struggle. And then there's the mission…
<br />
<br />
The Moribund Company has captured the Imperial Dreadnaught Arcane, and intends to auction the sentient ship to the highest bidder. Unfortunately, Moribund himself is attending the auction and Ravnos is forced to remain onboard the Hellsbreath for Moribund has a personal vendetta against the handsome captain. It is up to Victoria and First Officer Seht to go deep undercover at the Mordred Space Station to rescue the Arcane.

<b>AMAZON REVIEWS:</b><br />
<br />
<b>5-STARS - "Intense" by Nice</b><br>
The story was brutal, sexy, and exciting. It had engaging characters and intriguing world-building. It was very intense, and not for everybody, but I loved it. I actually bought it on the strength of one of the lowest reviews... what offends one reader might be attractive to another.<br><br>
<b>5-STARS - "Great Story + Dubcon/Capture Fantasy" by Lina Sacher</b><br>
4.5 Hot Capture Fantasy Stars<br>
I picked up this book based on a recommendation from someone who really understood my love for dub con and and sexy aliens. And this story was like hitting the jackpot in sex scenes – they were seriously hot (like one-handed reading every time hot) and plentiful. But even as plentiful as the sex scenes were, I didn’t think they was too much (maybe just a little) and they worked well with the story – serving a purpose in the overall plot.<br>
The plot was interesting, it definitely had my attention and I really wanted to keep turning the pages to learn what would happen next (and no, not just because I wanted to get to the next sex scene). There was a deeper theme – a theme that explored honor and love.<br>
I liked the heroes. Hardass as they were, they had reasons for everything they did, even the things that seemed callous and harsh at first glance. They were also ridiculously sexy and dominant and possessive in all the ways that made all my girly bits tingle. I liked the heroine as well. She was strong, opinionated, and feisty.<br>
There was so much awesome with this book that I really, really wanted to give it a full five stars (hearts), but I couldn’t do it because the writing itself was a bit distracting at some points. Stuff like having the word “snorted” appearing 104 times. Not so distracting that I didn’t enjoy the book. Actually, I enjoyed the story thoroughly and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys dubious consent and science fiction, hot BDSM and sex – M/F, M/M/F, M/M, and F/F – all the possible variations are present here. All single-hand-reading worthy.

<b>5-STARS - "Excellent Series" by Pat </b><br>
Really good story. I really liked that Victoria was so tough and strong. Enjoyed the interactions with Ravnos and Seht. I wish we could see more of these three!<br>
I am hopping over the second in the series to the prequel that that tells how Ravnos and Seht got together, then I'll come back to read the second.<br><br>
<b>5-STARS - "Yay!" by Tracy </b><br>
I loved this book!! This was the first of its "type" I ever picked up and boy did it blow my socks off (and my mind and a few other things too). Not for the faint of heart but great for a sci-fi loving kink curious girl like me!
Thanks Ms. Morgan Hawke, look forward to reading more from you!<br><br>
<b>5-STARS - "Love Morgan Hawke" by ReaLee A. Mercier</b><br>
I have read this whole series as ebooks on my computer and loved them so much I had to have them for the Kindle. Cannot say enough good things about this author and the fantasy books she writes.<br><br>
<b>5-STARS - "Excellent BDSM SF" by Cheap and Lazy</b><br>
I haven't found much decent erotic SF, even less for BDSM, so this was a rare and much enjoyed treat. The world building is detailed and superior, with a really good and believable plot. It's not highly romantic, nor is it PC (politically correct) BDSM, as another viewer here noted. In fact, it's on the darker end of this genre. But it does well there, and the sex, though frequent, never overwhelms the story. I read the prequel, Lost Star, and enjoyed that as well, even though m/m is not my favorite. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series, Fallen Star, though it doesn't appear to involve any of the characters in the first two.<br><br>
<b>5-STARS - "Great Beach Read" by Nicole</b><br>
Where have I been? Who knew futuristic sci-fi is the perfect vehicle for some very kinky relationships? I guess I need to expand my mind and start looking to the stars! Other reviews have commented on how 'brutal' the action in this book is. I respectfully disagree. I found the complex relationship between Victoria, Seht and Ravnos to be incredibly erotic. I suppose if what you normally read is set in some contemporary BDSM club, complete with all the requisite rules and guidelines to ensure no one ever forgets they are playing game then this might seem extreme to you. Honestly, that is why I usually pass up the contemporary books for ones set in some paranormal or urban environment. What I loved about this book is how well written it is. If you are like me and struggle to find great authors in the erotic genre, this 3-part series suggests that Morgan Hawke is a good bet.<br><br>
<br>
<b>O'LEARY'S REVIEW ON GOODREADS:</b><br><br>
<b>4-STARS</b><br>
Even though parts of this book weren't my cup of tea (I'm not a fan of forced or non-consensual sex), I thoroughly enjoyed this erotic sci-fi read. The author did a stellar job with world-building and storyline, the writing itself was gratifyingly smooth and flowing, and the sex was explode-your-kindle hot! The relationship between the two males (who were already an established couple) and the female Victoria seemed a little abrupt to me, jumping from raging lust to love like a ship lurching into hyper-drive, but I could shrug past that in light of how much enjoyment and fun I gained from the rest of this great adventure. I highly recommend!<br>

PillowMichelle M. Pillow is my new hero. Not only do her <i>series</i> have series, but she writes in a wide range of romantic genres--futuristic, paranormal, historical, contemporary, and fantasy to name a few. <i>Frost Maiden</i> is the first book in her latest series involving the Dragon Lords (previous series' are: Dragon Lords, Lords of the Var, and Zhang Dynasty), futuristic romances with serious heat! <br>(Don't read these in a PG setting. It will not go well.)<br />

<b>BLURB:</b><br />
Empath and space pirate, Evan Cormier is obsessed with decoding an ominous premonition about his future. When a fellow crewman angered a spirit, the vengeful Zhang An took her wrath out on everyone in the vicinity. Evan just happened to be one of them. He's now facing a future in which he'll be forever alone.
<br />
Lady Josselyn of the House of Craven has been betrayed. With her home world on a Florencian moon under attack and her family dead, she finds herself at the mercy of the one who deceived them. There is only one thing left to do--die with honor. But before she can join her family in the afterlife, she must first avenge all that she held dear. Falling in love with a pirate was never in the plan. Evan and his thieving crewmates might have delayed her fate, but they can't stop destiny.

<b>AMAZON REVIEWS:</b><br />
<br />
<b>5-STARS - "Frost Maiden" by M. Nix</b><br />
Lady Josselyn of the House of Craven fought for her family, home and life before being frozen in stone. Now she has been awaken into a new time and finds herself alone and feeling lost. Josselyn knows that before she dies, she must correct the wrongs done to her family and restore their honor.
<br />
Evan Cormier is an empath and a space pirate who is trying to figure out a foreboding premonition given to him and most of his crewmates. While working this out on the ship, his captain's wife discovers a very old box that gives a mysterious clue. A clue that just might lead to treasure; no pirate crew can resist checking out the information.
<br />
Evan is instantly captivated by Josselyn, but her inner pain might just be the end of him. He and the rest of the crew are trying to put Josselyn at ease in her new world, but when the crew believes that it's either Evan or Josselyn that can be saved, harsh steps are taken to separate them. Josselyn strikes out to regain her honor while Evan battles to show everyone that the only way he will ever be okay is to be rejoined with Josselyn, before its too late for both of them.
<br />
What if you woke up in a totally new world? In Frost Maiden, this happens to Lady Josselyn. Evan can't figure out how to shield himself from Josselyn's pain while trying to help her adjust. Josselyn is falling for Evan, but first she must reclaim her family's lost honor. Destiny had many things in store for Josselyn and death just wasn't one of them yet. I watched as Josselyn and Evan fell in love, but lack of communication endangered not only them but the crew. When it all fell apart, Evan was a true hero to save not only Josselyn, but himself and their budding love. Frost Maiden will keep you wondering and flipping pages, a bittersweet romance that will leave you smiling.

<b>5-STARS - "La La Loved It" by MrsHappy</b><br />
Maybe I didn't read the same book as everyone else but I thought this book was pretty awesome. I just wish the others in this series would come out soon. It's been nearly 2 yr and I'm still wandering what happened with the...hmm that might be a spoiler. Anywho, read this book, in spite of the reviews this wasn't a bad or just ok book. It was flipping great :)
There is a HEA, but there are also other characters in this book who's story needs to be told already!!!
Michelle M Pillow please don't leave me hanging much longer!!!! ;)

<b>5-STARS - "Relax and Enjoy!" by Berly</b><br />
I am a big fan of Michelle Pillow in that the stars of her romance are intelligent and independent which of course causes conflict. She has an alpha male which you can't help but appreciate it. Add in a sci-fi twist with some steamy scenes and you have a book that enables you to escape from the every day for a few hours.

<b>4-STARS - "Enjoyable" by Sara Egli</b><br />
I have enjoyed the Lords of Var and the Dragon Lords series (Lords of Var was better in my opinion), so I figured the Pace lords would be good. I loved the crazy crew and how they interact with each other. The story flowed well and gave me a few surprises. Most importantly it made me forget my day and get lost in the book.

Award-winning author, Vijaya Schartz, has done that very thing with her <i>Curse of the Lost Isle</i> series. Book 4, <i>Lady of Luxembourg,</i> has yet to receive anything below a 5-Star rating on Amazon. And that's not all...along with writing extraordinary fantasy, Vijaya Schartz is also a writer of science fiction, medieval, and contemporary romance!

<b>5-STARS - "Utterly Compelling!" by Beverly J. Malloy</b><br />
It was so easy to get drawn into this story. The main characters deal with keeping each other happy while dealing with bias, greed and fanatical religious dogma. You root for the couple and applaud how they outwit their enemies. The ending is both touching and bittersweet. If you enjoy loosing yourself in another time and place, as well as the mystical... This IS a MUST read!

<b>5-STARS - "Fantastic" by Diane Sparks</b><br />
I read the series one book after another to the 4th book Lady of Luxembourg. I have always been interested in the Melusine legends. This was a completely different story for Melusine she is in the 3rd and 4th book. The story of Pressine as far as I remember is consistent with the other legends except for the extremely romantic ending. I loved the series. Anyone who has heard of Melusine or Ladies of the Lost Isles, or interested in the era of King Arthur, or just loves a romantic historical novel will love this series. There is so much more to say but all I can say is read the books.

<b>5-STARS - "Worth the Read" by N. Nix </b><br />
Pros: Rose Montague has a lot of imagination and over the course of this story, she used her creativity to weave an incredibly original story combining witches, fae, shifters, vampire, and even the mortal police. My favorite part about this book is that the supernatural world is known to one and all. There's no masquerade, no secrecy, and everything it out there in the open. I love the idea of a supernatural department at the local PD and the FBI.
<br>
Cons: I wasn't so cool with Jade being the mutt of the immortal world, but as I continued to read, the idea kind of grew on me, little by little. When the big secret comes out and you come to understand why Jade is such a mix of everything, there's a strange logic to it that excuses the mix of so many creatures.
<br>
All in all, I was entertained and that's ultimately what a book is intended to do. The story flows fast, the pacing is good, and the underlying murder mystery kept my interest.

<b>5-STARS - "Phenomenal Adventure Ride" by Amazon Customer </b><br />
When I started the book, Jade, I will tell you I had originally thought that I would not like it. It isn't my typical genre of book. However, after the first page I was hooked. The plot twists kept me on my toes and it was NEVER predictable. Just when I thought I had things figured out, I was proven wrong. I would say that this would make an excellent movie, and I really cannot wait for the follow up in the installment! I would definitely see Rose Montague having a successful career in the writing world. I would certainly read anything by her in the future.
<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>5-STARS - "The Journey Is Just Beginning" by Elgon Williams</b><br />
Rose Montague is someone I have not met in person. That never really matters between authors, though. You sort of expect to eventually meet the people you genuinely like right off the bat. Whether that happens depends on circumstance.
<br />
Between authors, there is an unspoken understanding of the courage and self-discipline a writer must have in order to finish a book let alone offer it for public scrutiny. I think Rose and I shared that connection from the start.
<br />
How I know her is from online book launch parties she and i attend from time to time. Also we know some of the same other authors. From those interactions I have come to appreciate her sense of humor and I know she is loyal to those she calls her friends. Those are qualities of greatness in character for both the person she is and the author she has become.
<br />
Jade is a book that I hope no reviewer spoils. It's adventurous in exploring some new ground and doesn't fit comfortably into a particular genre. That is a sign of greatness for a book, by the way. The plot has twists and turns as one would expect but they come exactly when they're unexpected leaving the reader to want for more. Whether you read it now and discover Rose as an author you will follow or you find it later on when some future offering captures your imagination enough that you seek out her previous works, you will eventually read it. The best time to read any good book is now, of course.
<br />
Sometimes the first book from an author define him or her. Other times it is a stone that is carried around our neck for a while as readers pigeon hole an author with a genre. Categories are saddles but when combined with unbridled imagination, the ride is nevertheless wild. Readers may believe they know what to expect from having read one books, so a first effort is important in establishing a mindset. But expecting the case of writing a first book in a series, a reader should approach every book from an author with an mind wide open and free of expectations.
<br />
First books open avenues for exploring a vast array of worlds we discover within us in the process of writing. Whatever it takes to write the first book, it becomes like a first child. In a way it is the outgoing, adventurous, brash, conceited older sibling the ones that follow both rely on and envy. It breaks through and establishes ever instance of tolerance from its father or mother and creates the space into which its brothers and sisters learn to grow and flourish.
<br />
First novels, then, as vital works but sometimes they prove to be not the best effort of an author, but instead only a good indication of what is to come. Since Jade is a first book, only time will tell what the sophomore and subsequent offerings will be.
<br />
Rose is writing the sequel to Jade. Sometimes those are the hardest books to write but usually they don't take as long as the first book to produce. So for those who want to read more about Jade, there is hope that it won't take too ling. The painstaking process of learning how to write can be dispensed with for the second time a writer goes at it. From there onward, writing is more about each book than the prospect of becoming published.
<br />
Books like Jade endear and author to core readers. It would be a travesty to read such a magical book that inspires us to dream as they read. A few readers may be transformed in the process and become aspiring writers willing to take their own risks to capture fantasy worlds and describe them to others on the written page.

<b>5-STARS - "Wonderful New Paranormal World!" by TnT Reviews</b><br />
How to write this review without any spoilers? Hmm. First of all, I absolutely loved it. I adored all the characters and the interactions between them. I loved the loyalty and support they gave to a new friend. This storyline was very unique and included all my favorite paranormal aspects. It had Fae, Witches, Shifters, and Vampires. This book also had everything I look for in a great story. Suspense, action, humor, and romance. The writing really flowed and was easy to follow. I found myself unable to put it down. I had to keep reading to find out how it would end. And when I got to the end, I found I wanted more. I can’t wait for the next book in this wonderful new adventure.

<b>5-STARS - "A great book to spend the day reading" by Susan Stielow</b><br />
In my opinion, Jade is a fast paced book with a unique mixture of characters that is sure to please even the pickiest of readers. I found that I really liked the many sides that the main character possesses, and how she uses the unique abilities that those sides give her. I'm looking forward to book 2, and reading about what happens next.<br />

<b>5-STARS - "A Wonderful Little Story" by Brittany M. Willows</b><br />
What a lovely little story this was! It was well-written, and not just packed full of sex for the sake of it. The fact that the characters seemed to genuinely feel for each other was nice, and the chemistry between them was wonderful.
<br />
Ocen has got to be one of my favourite fictional aliens to date. Absolutely loved his personality. As I was reading I imagined him looking somewhat like the Argonians from The Elder Scrolls series.
<br />
The one thing that disappoints me was how short it was! When I reached the end, I found myself wanting more. I would have liked to find out more about the kidnappers and the experiments they were running, what the purpose was behind them.
<br />
So yeah, great read! Would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys alien/human couples, and I'll personally recommend it to some of my friends who loved the cross-species pairings in the Mass Effect video games.<br />

<b>5-STARS - "My, my, my what a fantastic treat" by Thalia</b><br />
Loved this story! Truly Sci-fi Erotica at it's best. What a wonderful imagination this author has, her characters were interestingly different, while the story was still sensual, hot and oh did I mention HOT. Great job. Sorry I'm gushing a bit, but seriously what an awesome story. The only thing I would want to be different was the length. Many times for me people can not do short stories very well, it's difficult to catch the pacing and characters in a way that can make a reader care about them or what's going on in the shorter stories . This author does an excellent job of having it all in this short. I can't wait to read more by this author. Highly recommend for lovers of Sci-fi Erotic, that's well written, fun and creative.<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>5-STARS - "Hot, Hot, Hot!" by Emma Yeoman</b><br />
My oh my, privacy needed for this one ladies! 'Hot' doesn't really cover it. The heroine is sassy, and when she finds herself in a cell with a telepathic alien, with multiple appendages (and we're not talking arms and legs here) she does a magnificent job of holding out. For a while anyway.<br />
Short and very steamy, this is scifi erotica at its best.<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>MY REVIEW (on Goodreads) 5-Stars</b>
<br />
Let me preface this review by saying I'm an amateur erotica reader and I haven't explored every kind/type/level of smuttiness that's out there. But I am a huge fan of scifi and hot stuff! ;)<br />
<i>Sasha's Story</i> is a scifi erotica short (roughly 10,000 wds) that took me for a wild, fast-and-furious ride. From the start, I was drawn right into Sasha's plight when she wakes in a little doorless cell with no memory of how she'd gotten there. Her reactions became my reactions, from panic to anger and despair.<br />
Then she meets the non-human in the next cell, a male with blue-gray scales for skin and (to put this in a way that won't get me censored) multiple genitalia. >:D He tells her she's been kidnapped and is now basically a lab rat in some anonymous scientist's experiment. Though the reason for the experiment remains a mystery, the nature of it becomes clear when a non-human female enters the male's cell. Sasha gets a front row seat to the alien couple's wild mating...and a preview of what's in store for her. When scale-man ends up in Sasha's cell, the flames practically melted my poor kindle.
<br />
My only regret is not knowing who the scientist(s) are and why they kidnapped Sasha, but I suspect this may be only the first part of a larger story...? Nevertheless, Sasha's Story is a sizzling-hot short I highly recommend for those who love scifi/alien erotica.<br />

<b>5-STARS - "Great Read!" by David Allred</b><br />
Dagonians and Mermaids, how could you go wrong? I liked reading about a young woman who did not know her true identity and how important she really is. I read a lot of novels, and do not write many reviews because I'm not great at it. This time I had to let people know that it's not every day I get to read a book where I could not put it down! I was able to finish this in just a few hours and I'm left wanting more! I'm really looking forward to the next installment. Thanks Holly for the great read!<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>5-STARS - "Danger, Action, Clean Romance - all wrapped up in a contemporary mermaid tale" by lkm8</b><br />
This is the first mermaid book I've read, and I loved it. I don't know that I'm hooked on the genre, but I'm hooked on Holly Kelly's writing. It was a delightful story that kept me reading long after my bedtime. I loved the romance. I loved the protective male. I loved the take on King Triton and the mermaids. I'm anxious to see how King Triton's meeting with Nicole plays out. Well done. I'm ready for book 2!<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>5-STARS - "Rising" by Linda</b><br />
Sara Taylor thought her mom was crazy as she tossed her into the sea when she was five or six, but she guessed her screams touched Nicole and drove her sane enough to go down a cliff and rescue her. Nicole was very beautiful and stopped traffic wherever she went, but no husband could keep her for long as she had married three times. At twenty, Sara had had enough of her crazy mom and she left to live her own independent life. With her disability she shunned relationships and rented a tiny apartment in a seedier area of Hawaii, she floundered with her web design business................
<br />
<br />
Xanthus Dimitrou prided himself on his warrior skills, as an Dragonian enforcer, he took his orders seriously and never question orders. He had lived for over a thousand years and had been interested in humans so much that he had learned the language and was glad he did as he was all that stood against a war between Dragonians and humans who were polluting their sea and killing his kind, so when King Triton gave him one year to convince human's to cease their ways. He was given authority to kill any half-breds he discovered but to not interfere in lives of humans...............
<br />
<br />
OH NO SHE DIDN'T leave me hanging!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGHHH!! I was so caught up in the blight of Xanthus, Sara, and king Triton that I failed to see the cliff hanger coming as it said there was another six pages to go! I have to read the next book or I'll dieeeee...<br />

<b>4-STARS - "Imaginative Sweet Romance" by Michelle O'Leary</b><br />
Rising is an imaginative sweet romance with satisfyingly heroic characters. The storyline is a nice twist on the usual mere-people plot with a very sweet, sympathetic heroine and a hero that hits all the right notes: strong, noble, protective, and loving.
<br />
<br />
Other reviewers have done an excellent job of describing this book so I'll just say I really enjoyed reading Rising. Some minor editing/grammatical issues snagged at me a bit and the flow could have used some polish, but otherwise this is a solid piece of work: interesting plot, plenty of action, and a lovely romance with nice touches of heat to spice up this YA read. If you've been on the fence about diving into this book, let me give you a push--read it already!<br />

<b>5-STARS – “One Great
Read” by Varicolourrose</b>
<br />
Cold Warriors is an instant success. Clare Dargin has built a
terrific world where everyone is needed to play a part in the defense of
humankind. It is a thoughtfully put together story with characters that jump of
the page and into your mind. The adjustments Caitlin Driskoll has to make to
fit in to a new society is only part of the story. The changes in the world and
the circumstances she finds herself in are just a small part of her dilemma.<br />
<br />
Lieutenant Colonel Medoro Keegan is a man in a very hard shell. He has suffered
loss, has a lot of anger inside, and uses it to fight and win. Caitlin has
upset the the fragile balance in Keegan's shell, and he doesn't like it. She
reaches him on a level he swore he would never go to again. Now the question is
will he break out of the shell and start to live again, or will he decide to
forget about his budding feelings for Caitlin and retreat inside and reinforce
the walls around his heart?<br />
<br />
This is definitely a story for those who enjoy what some call "Space
Operas," but what I call good reading. For those who enjoy sci-fi and
romance, especially with a reluctant hero, this is the read for you. it is fast
paced and puts the couple constantly on the line. Clare Dargin has written a
wonderful book, and I would recommend it highly.<br />

<br />
<b>5-STARS – “Great New Author!” by J. Huynh “Momo”</b>
<br />
I was looking for a new author to read and I can say I was not disappointed! <br />
What confused me was that this book was released on February 16th, 2013 but
there were other reviews posted from 2009 and 2010, which I do not believe hold
true for this story.<br />
<br />
The idea of Marines and cryogenics caught my attention more than anything, and
I read the whole story in one sitting since I bought it yesterday. I love how
the story starts off with an introduction to the war, quickly laying the
foundation of the trouble during this time. Ms. Dargin has written some witty
and charming characters! The hero starts off as overly Alpha, but once he wakes
the heroine from her frozen state, she quickly melts down the barriers he's
erected since his wife had died.<br />
<br />
I love the references to military jargons in the story and how Keegan has to
decide between duty and love, but of course he chooses love at the end! And
what he does... *swoon*<br />
<br />
Ms. Dargin has proved that no matter what rank a person is, love can conquer
all. I truly hope there is another book in this series! I would love to see
Lieutenant Zale come back!<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>5-STARS – Review by Tessa</b>
<br />
Original idea, emotional and gripping. I hope this is part of a
series because there is so much more of this story that should be expanded on.
Enjoyed it!<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>4-STARS – “Nicely Done!” by Book Lovers Never Go to Bed Alone</b>
<br />
Cold Warriors by Clare Dargin is the first in a series called The
Cold Warriors Universe. This first installment features a woman named Caitlin
Driskol who is awakened from a cryogenic stasis to find the future world in
turmoil. She is revived in the middle of a war and discovers that as a ground
soldier, her life is expendable and limited. She meets a Marine and their
stormy, passionate romance serves as a stark contrast to the brutality of their
lives.<br />
<br />
This is science fiction at its core. There's even a glossary of terms in the
front. The futuristic military angle dominates the narrative. This plot
structure gives the book a cold feel (no pun intended here). While the romance
angle does add a warmer, more human touch to the plot, it is often overshadowed
by the action-driven military aspects. Dargin's characters, while a bit harsh
(but consider their circumstances) are believable, well-developed, and their
relationship is an interesting part of the narrative. The concept is
fascinating, if not disturbing. Freezing people just to thaw them out for
combat at a later date. It's the ultimate dehumanization of warfare without
going entirely over to machines.<br />
<br />
Dargin's work is not for everyone. It's the first in series. I'm not a fan of
serials, but this one does stand alone more than other serial novels I've read.
It's also contains elements of erotica which might not sit well with
traditional science fiction fans. I suggest that readers get over that here and
now and take this one. It's an interesting, well-crafted read that crosses
genres nicely.<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>MY REVIEW (On Goodreads) 4-STARS</b><br />
I really enjoyed <em>Cold Warriors</em> - the author did a
great job with world building and detailing the military lifestyle of the
characters. I've always loved a$$-kicking female leads and this title didn't
disappoint, plus the hero is the kind of strong, competent type that makes my
heart go pitter-pat. (Men in uniform...~sigh~)
<br />
Lots of action and thought-provoking intrigue fill the pages. My only complaint
is that the romance felt distant to me, though I did love the ending! What? No,
I'm not going to tell you what happens at the end! Go read the book... ;)<br />

<strong>4.5-STARS - "Non-Stop Scifi Action" by Michelle O'Leary</strong><br />
If you like the Halo universe, you will love The Calypsis Project by Brittany M. Willows. I've seen enough Halo (some of my family members are frankly obsessed with the game series) to recognize many similar elements and terminologies between the game and this story, though this book is in no way a copy of that gaming universe! Unique in plot and development but with a familiar military feel, The Calypsis Project will give Halo and scifi fans a fresh, exciting adventure.<br /><br />In The Calypsis Project the human and alien nations clash in a brutal war. But what seems like a straight-forward conflict becomes far more complex when the characters (both human and alien) discover clues that lead them to the mysterious Calypsis Project. An eclectic set of individuals slowly draws together into an uneasy alliance bent on finding the truth and revealing the fate of the entire galaxy.<br /><br />This fragile alliance created wonderful tension and often humor throughout the story. I especially liked the humans' snarky sarcasm, like this quote from Lt. Lance Knoble:<br />“Sure, fine, ‘cause having two of the aliens I hate the most suddenly becoming my allies is wonderful. Just great,” he ranted, then pointed at Alana. “But don’t you get pissy with me if I accidentally shoot one of these bastards through the head!”<br /><br />The writing was mostly smooth (just an occasional rough transition/interaction), the dialogue consistent and entertaining, and the world-building impeccable. In the first half of the book, I did feel some emotional distance from the characters but became deeply invested by the end of the story. Only my own personal preferences kept this book from receiving a 5-star (I'm not a huge fan of military scifi and I prefer a romantic element in my reads.)<br /><br />For those who love scifi action and mystery, The Calypsis Project should be next on your reading list.<br />
<br />
<strong>5-STARS - "The Definition of Good Scifi" by Jane Lavuire</strong><br />
I especially admired reading through The Calypsis Project because it wasn't hard for me to see in the story that Brittany M. Willows clearly has a true passion and definitely lots of talent when it comes to writing in the science fiction genre<br /><br />I have always been a huge fan of most kinds of sci-fi, so naturally I found myself sucked in quite quickly because the book has a solid foundation made up of everything that has always made the genre so appealing for me. There's vivid battles, extremely dynamic characters, and a creative and different plot that tops it off to be easily one of the best books that I have read all year. There's a lot of elements that you would typically expect in a science fiction book, but with the author's own original and very creative twist and style that gives a fresh new spin on the archetypes that she has chosen to incorporate into the story.<br /><br />Overall, it's different and not a typical read for the genre but I think this is what makes The Calypsis Project so satisfying for me; the author isn't afraid to do something different and she does a great job at it.<br />
<br />
<strong>5-STARS - "An Entertaining Read!!" by Joannes Rhino</strong><br />
The Calypsis Project is an absolute read for readers with an insatiable passion for science fiction. It has a fast-paced narrative that would definitely keep you excited to the end. Imaginative and creative in equal measure, Brittany’s writing style really shines throughout this sci-fi piece. The growing cast of characters is also drawn exceptionally well and overall it just feels like such a nice read.<br /><br />I also write a sci-fi book, but nothing like this. Mine is more about romantic – scifi kinda thing. But this one is a real futuristic entertainment. ‘The Calypsis Project’ is more about action than drama. It had me turning pages at warp speed and holding my breath wondering what was coming next. I sometimes paused a bit in the middle of the reading just to picture the scenes as if I was watching it in the big screen. Well, it would be perfect watching this in a movie theatre.<br />I consider myself lucky to be selected to read and review this book. I really am hoping there will be the sequel for this.<br />
<br />
<strong>5-STARS - "Great Scifi Read for Teenage Boys" by A Wondering Dawn</strong><br />
I bought this book for my foster son who really enjoys military-oriented sci-fi novels. Basically anything that combines supernatural creatures and war. He's fascinated by those kinds of stories. In my house we have a mom/kid book club where I'll read books side by side my kids and we discuss them. I picked this one out for my 14 year old and I'm so happy I did.<br /><br />The book focuses on two viewpoints- those of 'human soldiers' and 'alien warriors'. There isn't a difinite enemy in this book. There are both good and bad characters, but neither aliens nor humans are necessarily bad. In a way it kind of reminded me of the movie "Avatar"- except with a bit less romantic influence. The main character is an Alien named Kenon- who almost from the very beginning of the story will capture your admiration and keep it. He's a really unique character in the fact that he's NOT a human soldier in the war between aliens and humans- but rather an alien. So many sci-fi books that are written based on wars between two creatures tend to pick humans as the main characters and also the 'good guys'. This book didn't do that. It puts you in a place where you can empethize with both creatures. But both my son and I, right from the start, had a liking for Kenon.<br /><br />Kenon is a character that brings forth a lot of the heroic aspects of what you expect from an action novel. He's strong-willed, courageous, brave, and independantly minded (which, lets face it, during war not many soldiers are thinking with their own ideas). The book creates a storyline where Kenon has to befriend the enemy (humans). I really love stories with this 'different species uniting' concept as a basis. Whenever I read books like that with my kids it opens up the discussion of racism and prejudices. As we read the story we get to discuss how different kinds of people interact, how we're all different in cultural aspects, but at the base of our being we're all quite similar. Many of my foster kids are a different race than me and I feel it's really important to be open to hearing about their culture and traditions and self-image opinions. Books like this help them open up. It's difficult to find books for boys with a message of unity, but this book definitely did that- and I loved it.<br /><br />This book did have a few grown-up themes (obviously a bit of violence and such), but I felt it was age appropriate for kids 13 and up. It was very well-written. Easy to read yet very vivid in the descriptions of the characters and scenery. I'm not typically a reader of sci-fi novels, but my son is and he rated this two thumbs up. I enjoy it for what it was- a good storyline backed with likable characters and a unique set of obsticles they had to overcome.<br />

<strong>5-STARS - "Have a very HOT and Merry Christmas" by Kindle Customer</strong><br />
I received this book as an ARC from Maya and I am ever so thankful that I did because I have some new author's to get caught up on.<br />
Now for my review after that brief confessional, because these are five short stories contained in a book called Tis' the Season of Seduction I plan to review all five stories separately. I fell that is the only way to do them justice, I will not give away the stories but I do want to give you all a taste.<br />
Maya DeLeina - A Winter's Ecstasy:<br />
Noel is a girl with a plan to get away for the holiday and she just wants to enjoy some peace and quiet on a mountain in a cabin with nothing but her self to think of. Until she meets Grayson, a mysterious man who saves her in more ways then one, he becomes her first love but will he be her only one?<br />
I absolutely love everything Maya DeLeina writes; you can tell she really puts her heart into it. Her books are meant for an audience who is comfortable with sex written out in graphic, exotic detail and dear me it leaves you needing a shower, very cold or with your lover.<br />
I will say I could go on and on about this short story but I refuse to spoil it. It is however a great way for someone to pop their cherry on her books. If you think what I just said was to much, stop don't read her books you won't be able to take it.<br />
May Water - Ski Bunny Blues:<br />
This short story contains MM relations (SEX), I will admit I never thought this was my thing but I was shocked at how much seeing it written down turn me on. Love is hot and this story is no exception.<br />
Max is a man with a plan, originally from the east coast and relocated to Cali he find himself forced to move back home for his job, he is not wanting to go but finds himself in a proposition he can't refuse.<br />
Thankfully for him he goes, he wants to get in and out and back to Cali, but while in New Hampshire he decide to try his hand a dating just to make his BF happy. First online date goes terrible and he swears it off but then he meets Shawn and well... Read it yourself.<br />
Hot, Hot and Hot!<br />
Nicole Morgan -Christmases Past:<br />
Priscilla Blackwood and her Husband Max find themselves in a mess. Cilla decide their relationship has changed and not for the better. She goes to the Cabin they own up in the Mountains to get a fresh start after some much needed crying. She informs Max in a letter that she wants a divorce.<br />
Max is not having it and decides to chase her down to win back her heart. Will he be able to or as he screwed things up one to many times. Things get crazy; there is an accident a confession and a whole lot of... Nope not giving it away no matter how much you beg. It's good I promise you that and there is most definitely a... nope won't tell you that either.<br />
Another story you just need to read it will not disappoint.<br />
Tammy Dennings Maggy - Meet Me Under the Mistletoe:<br />
Jolene is nurse in Kodiak Alaska and her husband is a rescue swimmer for the Coast Guard. These two couldn't be more madly in love. There is no typical drama in this story at least not the kind you're expecting. The drama involves being lost at sea, miscarriages.<br />
In this story you are holding on for them and fighting for them to finally get what they both deserve and desire. Will it happen? Will they get their HEA? Come on really did you want me to spoil it? I won't but it is a great Hot and steamy love story and you won't be disappointed in the sex or the story in any way.<br />
Lia Michaels (aka Tammy Dennings Maggy) - Have a Naughty, Naughty Christmas:<br />
Alter Ego? Yes Tammy definetly has an Alter Ego... This Story is hot, Hot, and HOT! She has guy on guy, guy on girl, guy on girl on guy and guy on guy on girl on guy. Candy Kisses may be the name of their business but their business is far from confections it’s a sweet tooth craving you never new you had or even wanted.<br />
Candice and her two Marine business partners run a catering company in Detroit, they want to expand the business but find themselves in a road block. That road block is the sexy with too much money for his good and too much sex appeal for anyone’s good Darrin Bryant.<br />
Alex learns of Bryant’s plan and wants everyone to be open to new things all around. If it wasn't for Alex, Gabriel would never have tried to entice his business partner Candi into a Ménage with him and Alex. Just think how stale their business could have gotten with all that sexual tension building and no release. Well they are releasing now. WOW!!!<br />
<br />
<strong>5-STARS - "Five steamy sensual and oh yes very seductive stories" by Sarah Lazowski</strong><br />
I received this book as an ARC from Maya and I am very happy and thankful that I did. Not only did I love this book, but I also read some new authors that I have now been added to my TBR list!<br />

<b>BLURB:</b>
<br />
<br />
A series about a young woman who is raised by a group of men, freelance mercenaries in the dark world of drug trafficking and murder for hire.
<br />
They acquired the young woman at a very young age, as she has no memory of life before them, and no idea how to live in a normal world.
The story opens as she has broken free and moves through a series of current events and flashbacks that explain the beginning of her life as she knows it.
It is very dark with an unfinished feel, because in the end, the past is NOT the real story - the real story is what happens from here.

<strong>5-STARS - "Action-packed, Fun, Mind-blowing" by Jeniann Bowers</strong><br />
A New Life: Life of Recovery by Samantha Jacobey, Tori’ story is one of the best I have read in a long time.
<br />
Samantha wrote this to capture the readers’ attention into a world made for Tori and she did that and more. Samantha can show a story-line that is created through great talent and excellence of writing shows her abilities to create an adventure, action packed story that continues to grow through out the book
<br />
As, Samantha builds the character of Tori slowly in her book, Tori has horrible flashbacks of her childhood with a motorcycle gang that has tormented and abused her. During Tori’s recovery, your heart will break as you read about each flashback and a smile will form on your face as Tori learns and accepts that she is finally free from Eddie and his gang, and while Tori learns what real love is through the companionship of a detective.
<br />
Samantha’s book is definitely a book I would recommend to all readers that enjoy a book that leads you on an adventurous, shadowy, dark past of a young girl. Can’t wait to read the next chapter of Tori’s life!<br />
<br />
<strong>5-STARS - "A Good Read" by Julie Elizabeth Powell</strong><br />
This story is about a young woman, one fighting for survival amongst the most evil of beings - humans.<br />I was drawn in at once by the flow and style of the writing and although I don't like explicit sex scenes, I think this story warranted it as it was a big part of Tori's terrible ordeal.<br />A strong protagonist, one that could have been broken but had chosen to live.<br />I don't give spoilers but will say that this book is not for the faint of heart, in that it delivers the horrors of Tori's life with a huge, no holds barred, punch; one that will leave you gasping and wonder how some people can be so cruel and inexplicably wicked.<br />A compelling read.<br />
<br />
<strong>5-STARS - "Fiction Mirrors Reality" by Jan Niblock</strong><br />
I have to say that from the very first paragraph this book grabbed me. I could not put it down. You read through and think that there is no way a woman could be that strong and survive. But then I think about the 3 women who were recently found after being held as sex slaves in Cleveland OH for 10 years. From the pieces of their story so far, their lives were pretty bad and similar to Tori's life in many ways. They not only survived and seem to be recovering. So that is just not that far from the truth.<br />Tori, as a character, was blossoming before the reader’s eyes. You are still left with a lot of questions about her and I really hope that the next books in the series will answer some of them. This book is one that you just cannot put down once you start it. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series.<br />

5-STARS - "Catch and Embrace the Essence of Love" by Lisa</b>
<br />
Phraseology and Letters by Jeniann Bowers is written in a form of poetry called phraseology. A poem is much like a glimpse of a story in this book the story is love. It is amazing how in just a few words she can evoke an image within the mind provoking memories, images and emotions within the reader causing one to hang on to every written word as she bares her soul although not alone as we have all felt the overwhelming emotion of love. The theme is not only of love but not giving up hope. Love takes on many forms whether it be a best and most gracious friend, a family member or a lover.
<br />
<br />
Jenniann's Poems catch and embrace the essence of love, how it weighs on our hearts. She leaves no elements out, whether it be a fresh new, exciting love where the butterflies well up inside and the loves image renders itself inside our minds and hearts all day or the devastating sadness one feels when a love is lost and how human nature wills us to hold on when we need to let go or looking for love in all the wrong places.
<br />
<br />
Phraseology and Letters is a must read beautiful collection of poems that not only make oneself reflect on the past but give joy to the future.
